Self-hosted map infrastructure

Map data that
doesn't leave
Africa.

Latlens runs its own tile, geocoding and routing stack — not a resold license on someone else's global platform. One API, real African coverage, data that stays where your users are.

Not a screenshot. A running service.

This is the actual vector-tile archive served by our tile service today — real OpenStreetMap-derived coverage of Benin City, Edo State. Pan and zoom it.

Why not just use Mapbox or TomTom

Four things we do differently.

01

Data sovereignty

Tiles, geocoding and routing run on infrastructure we operate. Nothing routes through a US or EU platform by default.

02

Africa-first addressing

Our geocoder is tuned on African address patterns — informal settlements, landmark-based directions, mixed-language place names.

03

Real gateway, not a demo

Token auth, per-service rate limits, usage metering and billing are live in production today — the same gateway you'd build on.

04

Open underneath

Built on OpenStreetMap and the Rapid editor. Contribute back to the map you're building on — no closed license.

For developers

One key. Every service.

Register, generate a scoped API key, and call tiles or geocoding from the same gateway — no separate accounts per service.
